Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ~ Helen Keller

Why is it Quest for Something? Why don't i put something else? Is there something i'm looking for? Had I found it yet?

Yesterday, there was an exhibition in Dewan Agung (Minggu Penghayatan Islam @ MPI). I went there with Diela and met with others. As I entered the hall, I started walking from booth to booth searching for something. I stopped at several booth and still I didn't found what I was looking for. With a hope to find that 'something', I walked again around the exhibition and yet nothing could attract me. What I was looking for?

I'm searching for something but i'm not really sure what i'm looking for. The quest started last semester break (even i use QUest for Something long before that). Huhu. I'm looking for something, something that will change my point of view, something will change my paradigm, something that will defenitely change who I'm today.

After that, my group and I met with Mr.Rajoo regarding our assignment. He talked a lot from National Philosophy of Education, to emotional stability, Imam Ghazali words, and also the examples shown by Prophet Muhammad, Jesus, Mahatma Ghandi. And with adequate knowledge from him, I still lost in my own world.

Today, in HD class, Mdm.Aneesha asked me to be the speaker for next week class debate. She wanted me to talk more so that I'll improve my proficiency. Thanks madam, if you didn't point at me, I don't think i'll participate. Besides, today also I was pointed to be one of JPP nominees. Arghhhh. Maybe from this opportunity I could find what I quest for.

Quest for Something still in a quest.

This post was inspired after reading one of my senior's post. For me, he is a great leader and I believes he will be one of national leaders one day.
Have you ever heard people saying "Salam 1 Malaysia"? Of course it can be heard everywhere nowadays since "1 Malaysia" is a new policy that being introduced by our Prime Minister, Datuk Sri Najib. For me, it is a good idea in order to inculcate patriotism, harmonies, cooperation, and so on among Malaysian citizen. But, there's one thing everyone might not seen. Every time a new Prime Minister introduces a new policy or slogan, ecstatically and with full commitment it will be received by everyone. Let's see years before during our late Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah introduced Islam Hadhari. This concept was accepted and being shouted here and there greatly. Television and radio station with their programme based on Islam Hadahri, hotels and Restaurants with dishes with name Hadhari, and the most funny thing is there was also Tudung Hadhari. Now, Datuk Sri Najib introduce the concept of 1 Malaysia. As usual, companies, institutions, schools, government and non-government association, restaurants and so on are racing to apply this concept in their chores. It is not wrong to support and run the slogan that has been introduced by the government because it right and suitable with us. However let's put this way, we support things because we understand and not because we want the attention from certain people. As usual, the previous Prime Minister's slogan will be abandon. companies, institutions, schools, government and non-government association, restaurants that always talk about Islam Hadhari before starts to forget it. Why is this happening? As future teacher, this is one of Malaysian habit that should not being taught to our children. This habit will bring more harms to our nation instead of positive aspects. Our nation is developing, genius are everywhere, economy is stable, and our heart should also come along with our nation's achievement. It is us to decide whether we are good citizen or not. think people think!

They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought". (Yusuf, 12:18)

On last Wednesday, I went to Seoul Garden Restaurant and having dinner there with my best friends. Who are they? Well, as you know, Daia and Sazrah. Actually Sazrah planned to celebrate Daia's belated birthday. Our sister is getting older. Hehe. It was absolutely difficult to prank her. Luckyly, everything went as planned even the time slightly changed. Few things we did because it was drizzling that evening. At about 4 o'clock in the eveing we arrived at Gurney Plaza and hopping around the plaza. I was to starving, so I decided to leave the team for a while and went to buy a can drink and drank it alone. (can't show it to others, they will want too). Hahaha. I'm not selfish, but I have to =p

At about 5 o'clock, (after performing Asar) we entered the restaurant and 'let the feast begin'. We did what was suggested by the restaurant gracefully 'eat-all-u-can-eat'. Hahaha. We were having great time together there till about 8 o'clock (we took turn to perform Maghrib). Then, out of the plaza it was still drizzling.

Suddenly, jeng! jeng! jeng!
Daia: Weyh, keta kite kna saman la.
Me: Bkan la, tuh parking punya.
Daia: Bukan, ak da penah dapat da. Saman ni.
Sazrah: Habis la kite.

While thinkning about the receipt on our rent car's windshield, I walked to the back. To my suprise and others, on of the car's tyre punctured.

Me: weyh, taya keta pancit.
Daia & Sazrah: ???????????

Oh my God, whay the heck is happening to us! In a glance, we decided to change it ourself. Luckily, I had did this before. Went to the car's bonnet and took out all the stuff needed for the operation. With lack of knowledge, experience, strenght, and excitement, we worked together (very very hard). It was not an easy job espcecially for three of us. Almost gave up, we tried our best and we gained what we demanded for.

Unknown Man: Bang, boleh ke bang?
Me: Boleh, boleh, tapi skru satu ni ketat sket.
Unknown Man: ....
Me: ha, boleh dah. Tima kasih ya bang.

Thanks, there's still Malaysian who concern about others. That's why Malaysia is in my heart, because the heart of Malysia (the people) who have heart touch my heart. Hehe.

Back to the story. As time passes, we managed to get back in car and drove back to the college safely. Owh, one more thing. Actually, we were not being summoned, but it was just parking receipt (see, I was right). Even, I was very tired that night, I was and still happy until now for having a great day with them. It has been some times since the last time we did things together. Thanks.

The new vision of 2010 is demmed impossible
Not because of the last year unaccomplish vision. Or the same vision that are carried from years to years and still the same.
Nor the dream seems to be very gigantic.
No, not even the dream was set without looking through my capabilty (though that's sometimes can be true, haha)
What seems impossible is the idea behind the new year (2010) vision.
The idea that as this 2010 ends at 31st December, every part of myself shall have achieve what was dreamed early.
A dream that comes true and I don't actually dreaming of having it. A dream for reality. Impossible?
Not really. I know it can be reality, they are my dream after all.

1. I want to be like Khairul Azzam in the novel 'Ketika Cinta Bertasbih'. (Who wants to be my Anna Althafunnisa?)

2. I want to improve my English speaking, writing, and other skills. I must.

3. I want to collect and read as many book or novel as possible. At least a book for a month. (Already started last December =p )

4. I must control my anger. I don't want to shout at people again. Change from anger to angel.

5. Of course to be better than the years before.

Enough for now, I'm afraid it'll be just an empty dream.

* Here are some pic within 2009

"ho..ho..ho..it's a holiday!!"

from 25th till 27th of December ago, my family and I went to Terengganu. Oyeh! It was an awsome holiday trip. Actulally we went there for my cousin engagement. My dad was asked by Pak Ngah to be the bridegroom representative. So, with that my family took it as a chance for us to go for a holiday. Unfortunately, angah was not with us.And to add on the sadness, he phoned us while we were on the way to Terengganu. And Ma burst into tears after talking to him. (so do I, but keep in cool). Oh, forgot to tell the important part already. Pak Ngah's son was the one going to engage with Marang's girl and they depart from Klang with Pak Ngah's friend and Mak Ngah's sister while my family departed from Baling with Pak Long's family.

At the first R&R (how I knew Ma burst into tears)
Mak Long: eh, mana Amrah?
Abah: Dok dalam keta, tak mboh turun.Afwan tepon tadi. Merah biji mata la tuh.
Mak Long: Owh..

We arrived at Terengganu (4 o'clock in the evening) and we straight away to Cikgu Zaki's house (abah's friend). We had our tea there and he drived us to our homestay. just right in the middle of Kuala Terengganu. And at night we went to Pak Ngah chalet at Marang we met with others and having dinner. (najib treat us)

The next day, at 8 o'clock we went to Cikgu Kaman's house (also abah's friend) and having a tasty breakfast. Then, went to join the other group and went to the bride's house. Had also a tasty lucnh. (can you count how many free meals we got). Haha. After that, my family and Pak Long's went to Masjid Kristal.

After the ceremony (ma was afraid)
Ma: Najib, mak teh amik daun sireh selai, pak teh ngalun.
Najib: Amik la, takpe.
Mak Ngah's friend: Hey, jangan bgtau kat tuan hantaran, nnt tak jadi.
Ma: H, btol ka? Dah bgatu mcm mana nh?
Mak Ngah's friend: takpa, wat2 mcm x bgtau.
Najib: Ha..ha..ha..

Then, we continued our holiday trip. We went to few places of interest. We enjoyed ourselves till night. Everyone got on bed tiredly but happyly..yeah!! The next day, we went to Cikgu Zaki's house again. He insisted us to have breakfast at his house. And Nasi Dagang again but it tasted even tastier than at Cikgu Kaman's. (free meals again) hahaha. Then, went to buy Keropok Lekor and went back home. On the way home, we stop at Kota Bharu for a while. only at 4 o'clock we leaved Kota Bharu and went back home. I slept all the way from Kota Bharu till Bukit Bunga because I was so tired driving before. Now abah took his turn to drive.

While sleeping I heard abah talking
Abah: along bwak keta steady jugak dih. Buleh la bwak jaoh
Ma: hmm..

then, I heard nothing. I fall asleep. We reached home at 10 o'clock in the night. Everyone tired but happy.

Angah finished his last SPM Examination paper on 16th of December. My family and I prayed for his success. Then, I went to his school to bring him home. But he stayed at home just for two days because on 20th of December he became on of Darul Quran's Students. So, my family and I went to KL to sent him there a day before the registration day. My family went on our car while angah and I went there via bus. The reason was to ensure angah familiar with that transportation. So, I taught him several things that he might need to know such as how to buy ticket at Pudu, how to use the LRT, and what are the place of interest in KL that he has to know. From 5pm (the arrival time of our bus at Pudu) until 9pm, I showed angah lots of things I guest. It was a gloriuos wonderful journey I had with angah. I bought him a sandal as a gift for him. I wish he will be doing fine in Darul Quran. I miss him =>
